You say Israel wants a puppet regime in Gaza. It was my understanding that Hamas already was their own puppet terrorist unit, a unit that they could make "aggress" Israel while holding off Israeli border defense, so that Israel could then obliterate Gaza population while calling that operation "fighting Hamas". Like elsewhere certain actions taken, look like "fighting the domestic population" but are of course in reality, "fighting terrorism", or "fighting a virus", or "fighting climate change".
I know that we all know this. But where there are phrases like Israel wanting, instead of already having, a puppet regime, there it looks as if basic premises have been left out.
I also know that _most_ of Hamas has probably been fighting Israel all the time. But the origins of Hamas do seem to be CIA and there must have been a pro Israel core in Hamas, otherwise recent events would not have played out as they did.
